Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that Marvel Studios will return to San Diego Comic-Con after a three-year hiatus.

Marvel Studios has a rich history with SDCC, with their first panel in 2006 featuring Iron Man director Jon Favreau,

The Incredible Hulk director Louis Letterer, and then-Ant-Man director Edgar Wright in attendance teasing the studio's big plans.

In 2019, shortly after the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Marvel Studios announced their Phase 4 slate at San Diego Comic-Con.

Reveals included the return of Natalie Portman for Thor: Love and Thunder, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, and the casting of Mahershia Ali as Blade.

Marvel and DC skipped Comic-Con in 2021, opting for the second Comic-Con@home. As the date approaches for Comic-Con 2022, many were left wondering if Marvel Studios would return.

Interesting to note is Marvel Studios also has a panel at D23 this year, with that convention happening between September 9 and September 11.

There also could be news regarding projects like Captain America 4 or the recently announced Thunderbolts.
